Building my classroom library, one celebrity at a time….

I have sent letters/emails/Tweets to various celebrities requesting an autographed photo, and I asked them to write down their favorite childhood book and why. I am studying Elementary Education at Western IL University, and in my future classroom  I will let the children select a celebrity, and we will read their bio and their favorite book together out loud.  Eventually my goal is to own all of the “celebrity favorite” books!  Maybe some will even send me the actual book to help my classroom library grow faster!  I also want to use that time to teach them about proper writing etiquette, how to address an envelope, and write a formal letter to someone they admire.

I will keep track of my autographs as I get them here!
